A PWA can be seen as a website with the capabilities of a mobile app. Or as a mobile app with the accessibility of a website. So anyone can use software with "progressive" functionalities through a browser on any device. It does not have to be downloaded and the findability can be optimised with the same SEO/SEA strategies as a website.

There are many examples of companies that have switched to a PWA. One of the main advantages that come out of this is that the engagement is a lot better than the website. Here are some statistics:

Higher conversion rate

More activity is nice, but how does that translate to online goals? These also go up considerably when using a PWA. PWAs have a higher average conversion rate. Because the app can be used online via a (cloud) server, it is much easier to introduce an update immediately. It is no longer necessary to roll out a whole new version and have every user install it. This also ensures that each user is using the most recent version.

Safe

All data from a Progressive Web App is transmitted via HTTPs and is therefore essentially more secure. Of course, there are still security risks, where there are other solutions.
